The video piece GHOST VOLUMES scans the marks of torn down buildings left on neighbouring walls for both visual and acoustic traces. Its title alludes not only to the disappeared construction volume:  the survey of acoustic information within the remaining shadows of past buildings yields a ghostly sound level (volume). In this, GHOST VOLUMES summons life long gone and yet questions its ascertainability by the medium of film.
